Easy Weight Loss with Hypnosis and Sport Psychology | Niamh Flynn

Sport Psychologist and Hypnotherapist Niamh Flynn will discuss the motivations which make weight loss and exercise adherence easier. The talk will highlight the ease with which weight loss can be achieved by combining goal setting, strategic planning and hypnotherapy. If the thought of banishing cravings for fast food or sugary snacks and looking forward to healthy meals appeals to you then this talk is bound to be of interest.

Clinical studies have repeatedly shown how effective hypnotherapy can be in the weight loss journey. A Meta-Analysis by Allison (1996), for example, showed that when Hypnosis was used as an adjunct to traditional weight loss interventions such as CBT, Relaxation training, guided imagery or goal setting hypnosis the individuals who were involved in the hypnosis groups lost more weight than 90% of those not using hypnosis and they maintained their weight loss two years after treatment finished.

Niamh Flynn is a sport psychologist and hypnotherapist based in The Galway Clinic. Having spent many years as a gym instructress her experience in the fitness industry has led to the creation of a very successful and specific weight loss programme. The programme focuses on eliminating cravings for junk food and re-organising the diet. Most people notice a positive difference even after the first consultation.
